Guest Jip Woudstra Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 As a newbie, I may be posting a message which has been addressed before, if so, my apologies. I am looking for a program (add-on or otherwise) which will allow me to take-off and land from beginning to end on my own and off-line for practice pusposes. If it is built in-in into LOMAC, guide me please and tell me where to find it. If I need to purchase it, please let me know where. Thanks for your help. Jip
ZoomBoy27 Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 It looks like you just need a Mission. Which plane are you needing to fly? What version of LOMAC do you have - the Addon? LOMAC has a Mission Editor. You can use it to create whatever you want. Here's a quick Editor lesson Start with adding an airplane; change it to TYPE of TakeOff Add a few more waypoints Change the last one to TYPE of Landing Make sure you save it and then you can fly it. NY3D Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 Im in the same boat. I have "Lock-on 1.1" Flaming Cliffs. And Im a newbie who wants to practise "night landings" and a few buildings and tanks to blow up with this new bird.BTW excellent sim, just what the flight sim community needed,we have been neglected by the game industry long enough, and its time to blow up some stuff :icon_evil .Another question,After i downloaded my copy of FC,I saw some textures for a mig 29 and for the su-25.Where do I put these files? And for these missions that the forum members are creating, where do they go(folder)Im sorry to ask so many questions...Im just so overwhelmed that i dont know where to start(besides learning how to spell :D )Thanx in advance and its great to be here with you guys...Are we having fun yet? :icon_jook
Brit_Radar_Dude Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 Hey NY3D - welcome to Lockon - I hope you will find it a (as I did) a friendly helpful community. Any missions you D/L from the forum or any of a host of other sites, just put them into the folder .....lockon\missions. Then you should see them when you OPEN MISSION. I created sub-folders in there for stuff I have D/L'ed organised by aircraft type, but its up to you. The texture files for aircraft skins you have seen - most have been done by their authors to be LOMAN compatable. LOMAN is an add-on manager utility written by a member of the community - it is a must have. It knows where to install mods /tweaks / skins and keeps the original files so that you can install / uninstall with one click. The latest LOMAN is recently out, its a beta version but I have heard zero complaints about it, so it must be OK - Get it here........ http://www.lomacfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&cid=137&lid=328&title=LOMAN%204%20BETA3#dldetails Just be sure you read the readme files with some skins/mods, they may need you to check/uncheck boxes in LOMAN to work correctly.
