GAJ52 Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I haven't tried to use JTAC yet, just reading up on it now in the manual. With all the snippets I have read on this forum I haven't seen anything about using your wingman to attack a JTAC supplied target. Just curious how you would use your wingman when you have been given a specific target, or would you make him just orbit somewhere safe until needed for a more general task. Bahger Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I haven't tried it yet but I'm sure it must be possible, once you have got your target from JTAC and made it your SPI, that you can have your wingman attack it. I think there is a comms menu command to get your wingman to run in at your own SPI.
Le0kong Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 You can, just remeber that if it is a Type 1 or 2 you need to call 'IP INBOUND' and 'IN' before the wingman attack or you get a 'ABORT, ABORT, ABORT'. Although i'm not sure if it will work well when the attack needs to be done at a precise heading, since you can only say north, south, east and west.
