Console light dial brightness

Am I the only one who think that the console light dial produce uneven instruments brightness ? ( some white and some mint )

Another thing about the console light dial, is the maximum brightness actually seems to be about half of the dial's freedom of movement. As in, moving the dial about 60 or so percent, produces 100 percent brightness.
