I applied the new patch and my controls profile is showing the program defaults. I tried to find the old profile files but can't seem to find them. It's the HOTAS that's most time consuming in particular. I'm looking in

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\Config\Input\Aircrafts\A-10C\joystick

None of the files there seem to be it.

I don't think I actively saved my profile to a special file before.

Does the patch wipe out the previous files? If so, why?

The patch should have retained your config files.

Copy and paste this into a run (win+r) command:

%userprofile%\saved games\DCS Warthog

This is the directory where DCS saves all user specific info.

You can use Windows Shadow Copies to find an old copy:

• Find the file you want an old copy of

• RightClick the file and click properties

• Select the Previous Versions tab

• Find a version from a previous date

• Select open, copy, or restore based on your intentions

It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm

This didn't work for me. I got back an error:

C:\Documents is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

I cut and pasted your command this verbatum into the terminal

%userprofile%\saved games\DCS Warthog

(You didn't mean I should substitute something into %user profile%, did you?

btw, I'm running Win XP if that matters.

Thanks in advance for the help

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\DCS Warthog\Config\Input\A-10C

not

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\Config\Input\Aircrafts\A-10C
