Thanks for this! I managed to use it properly last time, but now it seems that I've lost all the "tabs" when I start it up. I just end up with the Misc tab and no way to access or edit the A10 or BS tabs. Also, each time I start it, it asks me if I want to install the A10 LUAs, I say yes, but no joy anyway. Still broken.

Any help?

Same issue here, after complete reinstall tabs are gone and it keeps asking to install lua׳s...

I had partial problem with the black shark in the past, that I had to change its name in the registry to ka-50 for EMC to recognize it, and after ending with EMC configuration I changed it back to ka-50bs1 to play again.

Now in the registry it is named black shark 2, and not ka-50... And A10c is named warthog , but I dont know if it was changed recently as well.

Not sure if it's the right track, but nothing works for me now,

Please help...

Thanks.

EMC is broken with the current DCS version.

DCS World changed the registry entries for each module frequently in the past.

EMC hasn't been updated to identify these changes - so it can't see which module is installed.

Just saw your post...

What were the old registry entries, do you know maybe?

It did help me with EMC and the black shark, I.e temporary renaming to the old registry entries and then back...

Is Icemaker active? I see no regard from him to recent posts - does anyone know if he intends to adjust the code?

His work is highly appreciated and wish to see it continued although ED is doing it's best to break mods every update ... :)

Cheers...

Since all the tabs are gone, I have been using the "Manage GIU Position" feature. Just uncheck "keep aspect ratio",move GUI to position and save this as a new .lua file. Then open the .lua file up you just created and rename GUI= instead to L_MFCD= or tab you are wanting it to be. Then copy/paste that part of code to the monitor.lua you will be using. Just be sure to keep the right format.

Works great if all you need is custom size and position.

Bad thing is I still can't shut down my 3D cockpit MFCD to save fps.

Hope this helps someone

Hi guys,

I used EMC on my last set up - worked fine. But I have recently had to do a full reinstall of DCS. For some reason I now cant get EMC to work no matter what I do. When I load it up, the message comes up saying 'do you wish to install LUA files', but after that I end up in a single tab labled 'Misc.' with no radio boxes to select which ports I want.

Can anyone see what the issue is and/or can anyone suggest how to fix this?

Many thanks,

Hello icemake,

EMC is a great tool, but don't work with new DCS World version.

Can you create a new version of EMC?

The new version search not in registry for installed moduls, but search in "Mod" directory in DCS World.

sorry for my bad english, it is not my native language.

I´m also looking forward to an updated Version. It works for me currently, because I installed it before DCS got updated. But at some point (Win 8.1 Update or OS reinstall) I will face the same problem. And EMC is really a very very helpful tool.

It would be really nice to get the A-10C caution panel in EMC. We just frame an 8 inch monitor and presto. Please ICEMAKER, Help. Your work is appreciated and monetarily rewarded through Paypal.

I belive the A-10C module does not export the caution panel in the same way BS2 does. EMC does not provide any exporting options by itself it just configures luas to enable the exports and eases the creation of a costum dysplay lua, by letting you graphicaly set the position of the items you wish to enable exporting.

Correct. As the sim currently exists, it is not possible to export the caution panel for the A-10.

No exports, but why not reconfiguration of luas as cichlidfan describes to place caution panel on its on screen. It works well with the MFCD displays.

Because the caution panel is part of the cockpit model while the MFCD's are a separate view projected (mapped) into a specific location in the cockpit.

What do you think about where ClearDark's HawgTouch was posted by MadTommy about a caution panel upcoming? This is understood that a standalone monitor panel could be used. Is this your understanding also? Thanks for replies.

I am sure that is the case. However, that has nothing to do with whether or not it can be exported as a displayable viewport like the MFDs.

just rebuild my entire machine and pit and i can say i'm not a bit depressed that this no longer works. wish i had the brains to help make this work. :-(

I have my new Helios setup and was reading the readme.txt about this. But the info is old, and the files are in new locations. (ie Users\xxxx\Save Games; DCS World\Mods\Aircraft\A10c\.....)

Are there any 'current' instructions or guide on what to change? Or can someone upload their .lua files that work?... with comments on what to change in them to customize the output locations, etc..?

Any direction on this would be very helpful...

Thanks,
