LL coordinate smerch hunt

Hello,

 

In the smerch hunt mission, the commander give me coordinate in L/L

 

They are N 43 12 288 and E 043 55 080

 

I check I'm in LL mod in the CDU.

 

I try to enter those coordonate in the CDU but I always have a CDU imput error when I try to enter the North coordonate in the following format : 4312288

 

It's ok with the east coordonate though.

 

Is there any special trick that I'm missing ?

You should be fine. Just make sure you have the N in there and that you're clicking the proper OSB. The OSBs look a little offset, so it's easy to miss sometimes. Good luck.

For the east part I just type the number i.e. 04355080 without the E before and it works.

They should be in this format:

NXXXXXXX

E0XXXXXXX

 

You'll get input errors otherwise. And yeah, make sure you're clicking the right OSB like Chris said...I don't know how many times I've hit the wrong one because of the perspective.

Ok my mistake was that I always hit OSB 16 whatever the coordinate entered hence the mismatch for the North coordonate and the fact it was working for the east coordonate (it should be OSB 17 for North and OSB 16 for East)

 

However it work even without the N or the E at the begining.

Cool, I didn't know that. Another time-saver in the cockpit is always nice.
