Hey guys,

There are some things I can't get my head around, maybe because English is not my mother tongue, so I'm hoping some of you guys can explain me some things...

First question, desired time of fall, can somebody explain me the function of this setting (possibly with an example?).

The same with min alt, what is it used for (+ example).

The tutorial was really vague about these settings, and the manual explains these things as if they are the most obvious things in the world :) Maybe it is really simple, I just don't get it.

Next question, latch on/off, I understand what the function is, but why would I want to choose for latch off in the first place? Isn't it better to lase the target all the way until the bomb hits the target? I also read somewhere in the manual that it's better to start lasing the target 5 seconds or so before impact, why is that?

I think this can help;)

Desired Time of Fall governs the Desired Release Cue (DRC) in CCIP mode, see page 370-371 of the manual. The use is to facilitate weapon release at a specific range fram target, since the higher up you release the more the weapon will be affected by wind. (And the closer to target the greater the risk of hostile fire.) See object 2 in figure 267.

Minimum Release Altitude is literally what it says: the minimum altitude indication for weapon release. For example, if doing low-level bombing you don't want to accidently drift so low when releasing a weapon that the bomb will kill you too. (See object 3 on figure 267, page 370)

Thanks innerloop for the video, now at least I know that using the laser too late or too soon is not good.

And thank you ethereal, I get the des tof and min alt now. I didn't realize these are only valid in CCIP mode! Then it makes sense of course. I kept thinking about the CCRP mode :)
