hassata Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 My understanding of the CDU is as follow: If I select the SP on the bottom rotary, I get SP info; if I enter a different SP, I will get info on that, and it will also become the new SP for nav data in the HUD and elsewhere; If I select WP on the bottom rotary, I get WP info; if I enter a different WP, I will get info on that, but the SP point will remain the same; If I select POS, I get info on current position; If I select Other, I will be able to change attributes when pressing the FSK keys. In the Nav page, SP sub-page, I can see info and change attributes regarding the SP. In the WP sub-page, I can see info and change attributes of different waypoints without causing them to become the current SP. Does the above make sense? Thanks [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
thisisentchris87 Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 From page 172: PAGE Select Dial. This four position dial labeled PAGE enables you to determine the general type of information displayed on the CDU screen. Except for the OTHER selection, all other selection are ―read only‖ / informational. OTHER. In order to use the function select keys (FSK) on the CDU, the OTHER must be selected. From OTHER you will be able to add and modify data to the CDU and view additional information. POSITION. Displays the POSINFO CDU page. This will provide information about your current position. STEER. Displays the STRINFO page that will provide detailed information about your steerpoint. WAYPT. Displays the WP INFO page. From this page you can view basic information about your selected waypoint, steerpoint, and your anchor point. Sounds like your right to me.
