arriflex Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 Hey gang- I have the TM WH HOTAS- so any hands on controls for this are great. Once I get the MFD to the TAD and set it as SOI, how to I add the graphical background? I RTFM, but I don't yet speak complicascious fluently. Also, how do I get the HUD to show me the Radar Altitude? Thanks guys. After much issues I finally got Windows running on my machine and got some seat time last night- wow! I also nailed my first visual approach landing. The A-10 in this game handles wonderfully. All those hours spent in X-Plane landing everything imaginable apparently paid off- but having a real HOTAS helped tremendously for easy and predictable input. I have the curves set to about 30 right now- does that sound about right? Gotta nail that level turn this afternoon- thats one thing I havent really concentrated on before. I just kind of "winged it"
SmokeyTheLung Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 1. Depending on the TADs level of zoom you may or may not see the map. You can change TAD zoom with DMS up or down (TAD as SOI). Also, OSB 18ish toggles between the three map modes (off, man, auto) 2. The HUD will always show your RALT. Lower right side, indicated as RXXX untill you're low enough to get a reading. You can set this to display as a tape by setting IFFCC to test, and navigating to the display modes page System specifications: Computer, joystick, DCS world, Beer
