Lock on Graffic problem

Dear ED forum viewers, i bought new notebook HP ProBook 4530s (CPU:l i3-2310M 2.1GHz DC,RAM 4GB DDR3, HDD 640GB, VGA AMD HD 6490M 1GB.)

 

lock on FC2 works fine but when i start lock on i have this problem

and when i flyinf with plane when i scoll with mouse circle a lot to plane have it visible

Hm, I would try updating graphic drivers (this might not be easy, as some notebooks can not be updated with standard catalysts). Next, reduce all graphic settings to minimum/off/low, together with display resolution...

 

IMHO this notebook is not very suitable for gaming (if any!): i3 is low-end cpu (like modern "celeron"), and 6490M is seriously restricted by its 64bit memory-bus (standard for today's mobile graphics is 256b or 128b).

Hey all!

Another question: Is that a known bug for ATI Card users after pressing alt tab, or ctrl alt del to put the game to the system task will result a graphic bug when open it again? (much brighter cockpit textures)

 

I have used the latest driver (11-7) and 11-5 too.

Alt+Tab (or Ctrl+Alt+Del) is definitely not something I'd recommend to do. System does not handle changing graphic modus very vell, and this holds true for all games. Previously when I was using WinXP, LO frequently crashed when I returned to game after Alt+Tab, or graphic was so badly distorted that it was actually unplayable (sometimes half of my cockpit textures missing). Now I'm running W7/64 and it seems to handle it better, yet sometimes I have slightly flickering textures after Alt+Tab.

 

BTW, why was this topic moved to "Lock On v.1.0x and Flaming Cliffs v.1.1x", when it concerns a problem with FC2 ("...lock on FC2 works fine but...")?

Unfortunately I cannot supply you with directions on how to do it - I don't have a Radeon machine available at the moment, but disabling the Catalyst AI is the solution to 99% of cases like what you observe.

however, can you supply a DxDiag? (Start > Run/search > type DxDiag, run that, then select to output to file and upload it here through Go Advanced and the paperclip icon).

 

That would let us look at the exact composition of hardware/drivers and hopefully one of the radeon guys can give you directions for your version.

And I don't like seeing Intel HD graphics there. Full report would be appreciated though since there's some confusion in the statements it makes on the screenshots.

i found problem my catalist was set to ai for switching integrated and ATi card so my lock on was opened in integrated mode and it makes problems now i opened it manualy under ati card mode and it works allright! thanks for suggestions!
