A-10C Activation Problem After Patching.

Hi,

 

I received a copy of A-10C today from Amazon UK. I installed and activated the program without any problem. However, the supplied vesrion is 1.1.0.7, so I applied the patches, downloaded from DCS, to upgrade first to 1.1.0.8 and then 1.1.0.9.

 

When I run the program after patching I get the activation screen again. However, I keep getting the activation failed message. It says 'unable to connect to the server, try again later'. I've tried several times now, but with the same result.

 

Does anyone know if the server is down ? .. or am I missing something somewhere ? I was a bit surprised to get the activation messsage again after each patch.

Getting the activation again during that specific patching sequence is normal - there was a change in the DRM system. Keys were credited with an extra activation to compensate.

 

I'll see if I can check out the health of the server. Thanks for the alert.

Thanks for the quick reply EtherealN. I found my way to the wiki on trobleshooting Starforce while waiting and tried to the check the status of my serial number on the activation web site. But the site is hanging at 'connecting', so I guess they have a server problem.

 

Typical !!! :) Oh well I will just have to try and be patient, I've still got things to learn in BS and FC2 :)
