OK, I am trying to use the Editor to create a simple mission. After quite a steep learning curve I have created a mission. The Editor saves the file and I can see it in the mission list and open it again from the Editor.

BUT, it doesn't show up in the Missions screen AND it doesn't show up in Windows Explorer. So, just where is the file going? Very aggravating! I even tried to save it to a different location, and it doesn't show up there either via Windows Explorer.

I would appreciate any help in solving this mystery.

Thanks, Jim

Or if it's on an external drive, I've had a few problems with Ext HHD

Remember the 346 Fire Fighters, Medics & Police who died on 9-11.......

Selective memory is a wonderful thing, especially when certain posts simply disappear into the ether never to be seen again, unless I have a copy of the original post copied and pasted into word documents and saved .... just in case :)

Am I an abusive idiot ?

Due to physical incapacity my Wife types my post's for me

What is your operating system? It might be in your user data. Windows 7 or Vista?

Thanks for your reply. I have win 7 Pro 64 bit, but I don't think that is the problem. The Editor sees the mission in the list of all of the other missions included with the program. I can save and open, etc. all the things I expect. BUT, when I go to the main menu and select Mission, my mission is not in the list. And, when I use Windows Explorer to check the missions, my mission is not in the list.

One late bit of data. If I start FC2 as Administrator, my mission doesn't even show up in the Editor. So, I will try again as Administrator and see if the mission will show up where expected.

Thanks, Jim

Here is the latest update.

Running FC2 as Administrator solves the problem. My new mission shows up as expected. Now, I need more work on the mission.
