I had to rename the BS2 patch .bin files before they'd install. I don't see where anyone else has run into this. The .bin files as downloaded were named

bs2_patch_setup_en-1.bin

bs2_patch_setup_en-2.bin

bs2_patch_setup_en-3.bin

When I ran the installer, an error message said (something like) it couldn't find the file "bs2_patch_setup_en_3-1.bin". I simply renamed the files, adding the extra "3-" to each, and it installed fine. So the files ended up being named

bs2_patch_setup_en_3-1.bin

bs2_patch_setup_en_3-2.bin

bs2_patch_setup_en_3-3.bin

When you download a file more than once, your browser automatically renames each new copy by adding ascending numbers to the file names, so setup.exe becomes something like setup1.exe, setup2.exe or setup(1).exe, setup(2).exe. I would say that is what happened in your case.

Hi, KillaALF. I only downloaded them once. All three .bin files were in the same temp folder as the installer.exe and the file names matched the names on the ED downloads page (bs2_patch_setup_en-1.bin, bs2_patch_setup_en-2.bin, bs2_patch_setup_en-3.bin). The installer however was looking for bs2_patch_setup_en_3-1.bin, bs2_patch_setup_en_3-2.bin, and bs2_patch_setup_en_3-3.bin.
