F22-Raptor Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Hi guys, I purchased DCS Black Shark pretty much the day it came out many years ago however I seem to have run out of activation already :\ I know previously I have had a few issues with deactivating etc. so I have lost licenses. Today I purchased Black Shark 2 (the upgrade version) not realising you need to install Black Shark 1 first and upgrade over (I think anyone who purchased Black Shark 1 should get the full version of Black Shark 2 for the upgrade price, makes it much easier). So basically both games are useless to me now, it's a shame considering I always support DCS (purchased ALL the products) yet I'm trapped in DRM hell. No doubt I'll be using Steam in the future. Can I please get some more activations enabled on my key? Thanks

Well, the purchase page does state in big red letters that "The "DCS: Black Shark 2" upgrade requires "DCS: Black Shark". :) Anyway, see this sticky for how to enter a support ticket: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=58801 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester

Thanks just raised a ticket.

EtherealN Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 InsaniD, A-10C on steam uses the same system as the version directly from TFC/ED and discs, due to Steam DRM not being available for 64-bit. BS1 does not use it on Steam, AFAIK.
