Guzzo Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 it´s possible to find (detect) a sam-radar spot ? Usually they'll find you. But, as Jona said, when they're tracking you have an alert in your RWR. I suggest to read the manual about this usefull tool.
primus_TR Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 For a somewhat nearer location report, JTAC 9 line may be helpful as sometimes it includes data on nearby SAM threats also (e.g. SA19 northwest, 5 nautical). Which then you can use to locate at least one of the buggers using the OFFSET page on the CDU. This is not always available (as the target you are being assigned to may be far from any air defense assets), but it is worth using when you can.
