Hi,

I'm wondering if something has changed with respect to toggling snap views on/off as RCtrl KP0 does nothing but change the view to cockpit panel and the snap views still require the button to be pressed.

I've tried reconfiguring the snap keys to remove LWin modifier and also tried remapping the "Cockpit panel view toggle" to KP0 (I take it this is the toggle button as it's the only button bound to RCtrl KP0) but still no joy. Also tried numlock on/off. Any ideas as it is getting very annoying (as I seem to have spent more time configuring than playing!)

Thanks

p.s. I've searched forums and been through the custom snap view threads but there doesn't seem to be any more info.

Well, this might not help much, but I can confirm that the snapviews are working properly for me in 1.1.1.1. I presume you've tried rebooting your computer, unplugging and replugging all peripherals, etc.? Sounds like you've got a stuck key or something.

You've most likely inadvertently hit RALT+kpd0 and reset your default snapview.

The easiest way is to restore the defaults. You can do this by replacing SnapViews.lua with SnapViewsDefault.lua in the "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\Config\View\" folder (smart move devs!).

If you don't want to reset all of your snap views, you can follow this procedure:

*slew the desired view and zoom

*hit Ralt+0

*hit F1

I'm using the default snapviews (I've also tried custom ones too) and they are working fine, it is just that pressing RCtrl KP0 to toggle the views staying in place does not work, it just changes the view to the cockpit panel. I've checked my controls and it is bound to the "cockpit view panel toggle" key I have tried restarting etc. but to no avail.

I read the post and there doesnt seem to be any more info.

Any more help is appreciated!

Yeah, that's why it seemed to be the main snapview had changed view position. If it's not that, it may be that you have an issue with your right control key. Try changing your views using the following keys to see if it works:

"Num* - RCtrl" Zoom external in View

"NumEnter - RCtrl" Zoom external normal View

"Num/ - RCtrl" Zoom external out View

If these don't work either, your RCTRL key may either be bound to something else (in DCS or another app) or you have a defective keyboard.

Hi midnightbarder,

I noticed that self-made missions sometimes including a config folder which forces the snap-views from the mission maker to the player.

Please open the .miz file with 7zip or winzip and delete the config folder.

If there is no config folder - nevermind me. ;)
