Hello Gents,

I am planning to build a new system shortly and was wondering what will be a powerful system to run DCS & FSX. I'm installing a Win 7 64bit & I plan to have triple monitor setup and was wondering what will make this happen.

1) What motherboard would you recommend?

2) What CPU is recommended?

3) What Graphics card is recommended?

4) What amount of RAM is recommended?

Your feedback & recommendation is truly appreciated.

Thank you

No financial limits given? Well, the answer is simple: the newest, the fastest, the biggest (and at the same time the most expensive) you can afford!

Right now, the best you can get is SandyBridge-E/Socket2011/X79chipset/8xDDR3 and HD7970. But you'd better have ~2000$/€ ready before going this way (not including lcd/joy/ssd/etc). Should not be problem if you are not paying your bills... :-)

If you are interested for good price/performance option, I'd say socket1555 is very good choice: solid mobo (asus, giby, intel), i5/i7 (unlocked), at least 8GB memory, decent gpu (hd6950/6970 or gtx560/570).

Hi Rhinox,

LOL, i do pay the bills and i do have a budget of $1800. The good thing is that my company allows me to buy any PC peripherals & alot more stuff and would be able to claim the money back. That is one of the perks i have in my company. Thanks for the info.
