Warmonger Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 (edited) Disclaimer : I'm very new to this, so it is likely something I'm doing wrong :helpsmilie: BS2 I was running through a Full cold start and got to Running tests on EEG Power Turbine. Opened the cover clicked the switch (3-way switch) and it went to top position (FT1). Went through the check procedure and all was well. Returned both engines to idle and tried to move the switch to FT2 but it wouldn't move. Clicking with the mouse made the sound of the switch moving, but it stayed in the top postion. Tried this again in a different training mission, and again it went to top position but would not move from there!? Edited March 16, 2012 by Warmonger
Luigi Gorgonzola Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 (edited) Could you provide a track? Haven't done an EEG test since ages (yes I know, lazy guy trusting the ground crew etc.), but I cannot remember having seen this behaviour. EDIT: OK, got it. For whatever reason, this switch is designed so it doesn't accept any more LEFT clicks when it is at its upper position (as I always expected it to be but never saw until just now). Didn't check if the same applies to RIGHT clicks when the switch is in its lower position. Solution: Just RIGHT click the switch to bring it from FT2 to FT1. Warmonger Posted March 16, 2012 Author Posted March 16, 2012 Thanks for that Luigi  It's strange that most of the other 3-way swiches will happily cycle on a left mouse click, but this one does not... just to create confusion :P
Luigi Gorgonzola Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Similar applies to the dials. They flick to "first" from "last" position and vice versa. ;)
