Demongornot Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Hi everyone. I looking for a new computer, when i can, i will buy a new PC with : Ivy bridge I7 3770k cooled by Noctua NH-C14, MSI Z77A-GD65, 4x4Go Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 CAS 7, SSD Corsair Force GT 120Go for Windows and software who will start with Windows, 1To Western Digital Caviar Black dedicated for game who need good HDD and where i will install DCS and a lot of other HDD for storage...Inside the NZXT Phantom with additional fan, i think i can be easily able to overclock the CPU when i will want, the computer will be powered by OCZ ZX 1000w ! But initially i have planed to buy one (or two in Crossfire if i can) MSI HD7970 Lightning, its a monster card and for playing with Eyefinity (5760x1080 but with 22" 27" and 22" monitor (27" on the center) with eyefinity 2.0 correction capability) i will need two of them for playing without problem to any games. But now that the GTX 680 will coming and look powerful than a simple HD 7970 i don't know what do... Cause for every games two HD 7970 can easily give huge frame in eyefinity, but for simulation, mainly for DCS, what will be better ? MSI HD 7970 Lightning (the monster card who can be overclocked easily at huge frequency) and who are build to be perfect GTX 680 who are better but i don't know for DCS if it will be better... Or prey and hope that MSI will make the Lightning version of the GTX 680 for the date where the Ivy bridge will coming (cause i will use a big unboxing and review video for obtain view on my youtube channel for make know my music) I know that no one know the exact performance of the GTX 680 but maybe anyone know Nvidia card and know how that can be with DCS, mainly with the new technology announced by Nvidia or anything else... And if we forget the GTX 680 the configuration with the 7970 Lightning (crossfire disabled) with little overcloack can be great for DCS in eyefinity ? Thanks ! Demongornot Posted March 20, 2012 Author Posted March 20, 2012 Single GPU on a single card is best for sims Yes i know i will take two anyways for other game, i can disabled Crossfire/LSE for DCS and other SIM who not yet take Multiple GPU in profile and 7970 and 680 are and will be a single GPU card CPU : I7 6700k, MB : MSI Z170A GAMING M3, GC : EVGA GTX 1080ti SC2 GAMING iCX, RAM : DDR4 HyperX Fury 4 x 8 Go 2666 MHz CAS 15, STORAGE : Windows 10 on SSD, games on HDDs.
