Store and install files organization

Not sure about anyone else, but I find it abit silly that BS2 Full and BS2 Upgrade are essentially the same thing, but they require 2 different sets of install files and patches. Why can't the store just sell one cd-key (BS2 Full) but give the user the 50% off discount if they have a BS1 cd-key associated with their account they are buying the game for?

 

You'd get rid of the need to have BS1 installed in order to install BS2. You wouldn't need to have 2 separate types of patch/install files, and all of the cd-keys would be of the same overall type.

 

I bring this up because I am rather curious what the plan down the road is for selling your products, and I would completely LOATH having to install "LO->FC2->FC3 Upgrade" in order to play FC3 if there was an "FC3 Full" product available. Not to mention if anything like that is required for WH or BS again. It wouldn't bother me if the installs were actual patches, but BS2 and FC2 as I understand it just look for a valid registry key/install of the game and then install entirely on their own.
