britgliderpilot Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 To keep the input settings the same. Just formatted to move up to the 64-bit club (3700+ from P4 2.8), and Lomac isn't running anymore - did the registry key bit, Starforce has done it's reactivation for new hardware, but nothing's running running and FC won't reinstall until it picks up Lomac in the registry. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
Guest EVIL-SCOTSMAN Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 did you use the starforce 64b drivers ?
britgliderpilot Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 did you use the starforce 64b drivers ? (insert shock smiley here) Erm . . . . if I'm running normal Windows XP, I understood that I didn't need the 64-bit drivers. That right? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
Guest EVIL-SCOTSMAN Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 ya, my bad, i thought u meant you had joined the 64b xp club :S
britgliderpilot Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 Breathes a sigh of relief, backs up a couple of likely-looking folders, goes to lunch in case someone answers while he's away. :p http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
Guest ruggbutt Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Config and Input folders. Trust me, I've reinstalled a lot.
KILSEK Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Hi all and britgliderpilot. You probably want your MISSIONS & ME folder too. -KILSEK
britgliderpilot Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 Config and Input folders. Trust me, I've reinstalled a lot. Cheers, will do. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
britgliderpilot Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 Worked fine thanks Rugg. On a related note . . . . this 64-bit 3700+ is teh bombdiggityshiznit. I can now fly through Sevastopol at rooftop height, on high scenes, at completely playable framerates. However, it still throws a wobbly when I bump the vis range up. Can't win 'em all, I guess . . . . might have to fiddle a bit ;) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
