Dedicated Server Question..

I have a couple of questions I wanted to ask you guys/ED...

 

Since we don't have a dedicated server app, How would I go about running my own dedicated server?

 

I'm interested in this, because I have a dedicated PC for all my serving needs that could just be dedicated to running the server, as I would like to have my main PC running the sim with all it's resources dedicated to it, and not serving.

 

The real question is:

 

Can I use my same copy of LockOn Gold (CD version) to install a 2nd copy of my game to run the dedicated server and only that? or do I have to buy another copy just to serve?

 

(I ask because I remember reading a post by an ED tester or member about a possible dedicated server application in the near future, and if thats the case; I would just wait instead of buying another copy just to serve)

 

PS: It's a dual opteron box with a 6600GT GPU, and it also hosts my TeamSpeak stuff. :D
