ED Team USSR_Rik Posted October 8, 2005 ED Team Posted October 8, 2005 It's very simple using the standard Windows file operations. But please, do not ask ED about "put this feature in the 1.11 now!!!" Background: 1. LO don't block the devices ini-files (checked) 2. LO re-read thethe ini-files before start of mission (checked, but exact moment of re-reading should be investigated). I think (moreover, I'm sure), these features was created by game developers in order to next realization. But time and resources... Step by step. Our joystick is installed, LO can see it and build ini-file in c:\ProgramFiles\1C\Lock On 1.1\Input\... (I will show my parameters, of course). My joystick recognized by Windows as MJoy (home made electronics, see http://www.mindaugas.com/ MJoy8) and shown as MJoy.ini in above mentioned path. 1. Start the game, go to Input devices adjustment (sorry, I don't know name of this button in English version, maybe "Options" like in Russian?) and tune joystick buttons and axis (including response curves). In fact, we creating current profile. 2. Return to Main menu, switch to any file manager and copy (with packing) joystick ini-file into reserve folder. Packing is not necessary, of course, but suitable - we can type normal user friendly name of archive file, but inside this pack name of our file will be as the original LO. 3. Now we can switch back to game and make another profile. 4. Repeat 2 and 3 and create as much profiles as you want (I think, 3 profiles are fully enough - but it's up to you). 5. Before start mission we can switch to file manager and unpack necessary file into c:\Program Files\1C\Lock On 1.1\Input\... folder. 6. Fly with selected joystick profile. Profile change is impossible during the mission (pause). You can change (overwrite) ini-file, but LO will use the old one until you leave mission. Instead the packing ini-files, you just can create a few empty folders with user-friendly names (f.e. ..\AFM1\, ..\SFM_F15, ..\SFM_Su-33 etc.) and copy files with original names in/from these folders (one folder - one fie). I didn't check this possibility with another joystick (having their own software) - but I think, it will be work. Screenshot you can see here - http://forum.lockon.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=2665 Red marked files are interesting for us. PS Programmers! Maybe, somebody will write simple utility using abowe? Unfortunately, I forgot all programming languages 5 years ago ;( And I stil hope, that we will see profile changing in 1.2 - see background above. PPS Sorry for my English. Please don't see my tray icons - screenshot was made on work PC (and don't tell about it to my cheef :) ) Men may keep a sort of level of good, but no man has ever been able to keep on one level of evil. That road goes down and down. Можно держаться на одном уровне добра, но никому и никогда не удавалось удержаться на одном уровне зла. Эта дорога ведёт вниз и вниз. G.K.
