MP spawn bugs?

Two quick bugs (?) I'm dealing with:

 

1). Whenever I host a mission, load and click on the aircraft to fly I never spawn the first time after loading the mission. It says I've "Lawndart joined BLUE P-51" or something to that, but I'm still seeing the map view. So, I click on another jet or the same one again and hit briefing/fly and spawn just fine. Now, the interesting part is it says "Lawndart BLUE P-51 crashed" and I can see the wreckage of my first join attempt in front of my spawn point falling out of the sky (this is an airborne start). This only happens the first time after I select a plane to fly while hosting a MP mission. It's as if I'm flying, yet stuck on the map screen and having to re-select a plane to fly... only to watch my old plane "blow up" in front of me when I'm finally able to spawn correctly.

 

2). Possibly related to my previous point; often my tracks don't playback at all / with significant deviations from what acually happened (lat/long, altitude different from what really took place etc.). This has never happened in SP when I'm able to spawn correctly, but in MP if I have to do what I described in my previous point it seems very likely my track will have errors (and sometimes not playback at all).

 

Just wanted to bring this to ED's attention in case it isn't known. Did a quick search, but it yielded no results for this issue. Are there others having the same problem in MP missions?

 

 

P.S. I've found a workaround for my first point; joining as a spectator while hosting first and then, once the mission is running going back and selecting a plane to fly. That usually (but not always) lets me spawn into a plane without getting hung up on the map view (and having to re-spawn, then seeing myself explode in the plane I never got to spawn into in the first place as described earlier...)
