which version of World to use???? could this be why i cant get KA-50 to work?

Right, anyone who has been following my problems in the KA-50 forum already knows this, but i'm gonna run it down again here to have it all in one concise lump:

 

i have been running DCS world 1.2.1 and have been unable to get the KA-50 Upgrade module to properly install itself. The installer runs as it should, all the files are present in the Mods/KA-50 folder, and in the main menu screen the KA-50 icon is present and does not have the dollar sign. In the options menu i have control input mappings for the KA-50 available.

 

The problem begins when i try to select a campaign or an instant-action: the KA-50 tab is missing from both those menus (though the SU-25 and A-10 tabs are both present). Further, the stock single-missions are missing from the menu (though all mission and campaign files are present) and when i create a mission or a fast-mission as KA-50, i load directly into F2 view of another aircraft. The same thing occurs in multiplayer.

 

In addition, the program never asked for my registration, as it did when i installed the A-10 module.

 

I have attempted the following to fix this:

 

• re-install BS2 upgrade module
  
• remove and re-install world 1.2.1
  
• Backup and remove all Eagle Dynamics registry keys: this caused me to have to re-enter my A-10 license, but it still did not ask for my BS2 license. I restored the entries from backup after this test
  
• remove BS2 Upgrade module and install BS2 Full module
  
• install both modules side-by-side
  

All of the solutions i attempted have had the same result: there is no change to the problem. I am never asked for a CD-key, and World only seems to have part of the interface options for the KA-50 installed.

 

 

I just noticed that the current version of World on download page is 1.2.0.63205, where my install is 1.2.1

 

 

Do i need to remove 1.2.1 and install 1.2.0.63205 for the KA-50 Upgrade module to work??

Have you the complete BS2 version ?

 

Upgrade is for the peoples who have BS1 + BS2 Add-on ( not the complete version the addon of BS2 ).... For Instal BS2 module upgrade, you need first install BS1 .. activate it > then install the BS2 module Upgrade over it.

Well, that seems to have solved it. Had to go out before download/install finished or i'd've posted sooner.
