morgon Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) Hi, not very technical minded but looking for a program with set up instructions on using my ipad for key commands on a10c? Saves fumbling around with keyboard. Would appreciate the help but please keep jargon low  Thanks :) Also tried to set up face track noir with new dcs download via site as binned my steam version any reason why this wouldn't work now? Maybe a new way to set up not sure but if anyone else has this working please let me know Edited July 20, 2012 by morgon help for new people like myself http://forums.eagle.ru/member.php?u=90268
EtherealN Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Depends on the type of key commands you mean. 1) Do you have a HOTAS? (Hands On Throttle And Stick) For example the Saitek X52 or Thrustmaster Warthog. 2) Do you mean for various cockpit controls? If so, google iPadPit. It hooks up to your game and lets you graphically control and view cockpit instruments through your iPad. I do not however know if it is functional with current versions. If you could further specify your usage situation (what peripherals - that is, controllers etcetera) you are currently using etcetera, it is easier to give you advice. morgon Posted July 20, 2012 Author Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) Ideally viewing cdu's on ipad and being able to control them and the control panel under HUD would be great, save me zooming into them to view. I did try once to install ipad pit I think but that went totally wrong am sure it was called that Not sure now. Really need something with instructions for dummies  Any help would be good though just to make sim even more enjoyable and to its capabilities  I don't have a nifty set up, I use a medioka flight stick (cyborg x) which I use for upto 15 functions and currently use a (don't laugh) Xbox pad to control movement and zooms and locking for cdu's displays when searching for targets, works for me being a console boy lol saves fumbling on keyboard Also have ipad and iPhone at my disposal to if I can figure how to use Edited July 20, 2012 by morgon help for new people like myself http://forums.eagle.ru/member.php?u=90268
Revelation Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 I have heard good things about iPadpit, I personally use iControlDCS. Both will allow you to view MFDs, CDU and control various buttons and switches in the cockpit right from your iPad. Win 10 Pro 64Bit | 49" UWHD AOC 5120x1440p | AMD 5900x | 64Gb DDR4 | RX 6900XT
neroroxxx Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Here's my set up from a few months ago using iControl DCS, Full version is $30 but there's a free version too, you will need a second monitor regardless for the MFD export otherwise they will show up on the main screen Nero 27" iMac, 3.4GHz i7 Quad Core, 16GB Ram, AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2Gb, Running Bootcamp, Windows 7 Home 64bit, Saitek X-52 Pro

You can setup a virtual monitor, use that and you will not need a physical monitor to export the MFD's to. Win 10 Pro 64Bit | 49" UWHD AOC 5120x1440p | AMD 5900x | 64Gb DDR4 | RX 6900XT

Revelation Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 You either need a second monitor or download the driver for a virtual monitor. Win 10 Pro 64Bit | 49" UWHD AOC 5120x1440p | AMD 5900x | 64Gb DDR4 | RX 6900XT
morgon Posted August 5, 2012 Author Posted August 5, 2012 (edited) I managed to sort after playing around with settings, no second monitor or virtual driver needed. have extended display in Windows pc display settings and now with MFCD's off main screen so no longer a eye sore with the displays stuck in corners of the screen thank god. Below are my manual icontrol settings for a single disply 50" 1920x1080 with MFCD's no longer on main screen if it helps anyone else messing around with settings Cockpit 0,0,1920,1080 Left MFCD 342,75,280,180 Right MFCD 2100,0,303,303 Case closed for me on this one at last! :) Edited August 5, 2012 by morgon help for new people like myself http://forums.eagle.ru/member.php?u=90268
