Hello all,

This is my first post here as I'm more of a lurker on here and the A-10 forum, but I just wanted to say thanks and give a high five to ED for incorporating FFB into the P-51D. I'm not sure which patch it was introduced with, but I've been pretty busy and a little out of the loop. I use a Logitech G940 and the aircraft used to be very difficult for me to control near the edge of the envelope. As a result I had zero success versus the AI in the quick mission 'dogfight' after many many attempts, so I never fired up the sim apart from practicing my taxiing/takeoffs/landings.

However, after receiving the email newsletter I got around to installing the latest version today and found that with FFB active my flying in the P-51 has become so much more intuitive rather than being reactive to the aircraft. That AI I once dreaded is still a protracted fight, but I managed to beat it each time in my attempts since FFB was added which I'm quite happy about. I understand that fighting AI doesn't compare to human opponents as I do plenty of that in another sim, but reminiscing on the difficulty I faced fighting it before FFB was included and comparing it to now...well, there is no comparison.

Great job ED for including this feature and thank you for building this collection of wonderful sims.

P.S. I dream about DCS F/A-18 coming one day in the future...

Hey! Look! It's my squadmate and quite possibly the best Rise of Flight player every to play the game. And, might I mention, a former Navy contractor who flew the F/A-18C sim as a paid ACM adversary (or something like that--I am bad with details). But, whatever, its great to see that DayZ hasn't completely monopolized your chill-time. No question that FFB has made the P-51 much more pleasant to fly. The problem for me is that my throttle has begun to spike dramatically and I think I may need to dump the G940 for a WH. Anyway, glad to see you here Req! Hope we can fly together soon.

Or maybe Josh Echo. :megalol:

Peter Zvan is awsome. As is Viks. But Requiem put so little time into the game and yet was still great. And he kept no secrets. His ACM videos are still arguably the best training aids available for knife-fighting in any sim in any era. And he does it all with humility. It's that complete package that I call "the best".
