DCS W 1.2.1 multiplayer crash on login

 

Since the update I'm getting a crash to desktop when the login screen gets to "connecting to master server" then it locks up and I get the good old "DCS world has encountered an error" crash.

Same here in Mexico, for three hours ago we can't connect to the master server ... as someone said above, this version has things we did not ask in the simulator, but ED systematically ignores a vexing problem that has been widely reported by the community. What happen Eagle Dynamics?

It has not been ignored, it was believed to be fixed as it was impossible to reproduce the problem on the release client, even with a very long server list. It seems that this problem has eluded fixing due to reasons unknown but it will again be investigated.

getting the crash when trying to connect to multiplayer here as well. Usually goes away after some time. So I'll wait. But I was hoping this would have been fixed in 1.2.1.

two times I tried connecting to MP worked alright, no crash etc

€: Looks like the masterserver is online again now.

 

Still broken after the patch. I'm running 1.2.1 released yesterday. I click connect and the game crashes.

Intel i7-4770k @ 4.4ghz, 32gb ram, GTX 1080ti, Oculus Rift S

 

Advanced apologies if my post contains typos or missing letters. Many of my posts are typed on a laptop with an old keyboard that has a personality all its own.

That makes it even harder to reproduce and track down the root of that issue. I can image that this kind of work can be a pain in the ass for the testers and the devs...

But it is nontheless pretty much annoying though

DCS World 1.2.1.5970 Crashing on Connect... Again...

 

Well Well, I hate to say I told you so, but with a new version the same problem is still here... Crashing to Desktop while attempting to connect to the master server and retrieve the list.

 

Dont get me wrong, the new colored rocket motors, and sounds, explosions that help the fps go even lower are nice, oh and dont forget the way the text box now scrolls up, but I would rather have a game that doesnt crash while trying to connect.

 

I realize this is being covered in another thread but really who wants to goto the end of 270+ pages and add to a lost cause.

 

When ED said they thought it was fixed because it wasnt hapening on the verson they had how did they test this? Do they use the same servers, and all connections over the internet? How much of this testing is done on a private network or lan with a simulated master server?

 

My opinon is well known to most of the moderators especially viper and all I can say is that each time this happens to me Ill be on this thread and make a quick remark, if you get tired of seeing my one liners, think of how tired I am with still having this problem 4 months later. FIX THE PROBLEM.

Perhaps it would be helpful if people started attaching time stamps to these issues. For example, crashing at master server list 11:10PMish AEST.... fine a short while later at 11:16PM

2 disconnects just now

 

Dear ED...

 

I have just experienced two disconnects on two different servers just now, both had a ping under 100ms.

 

My singleplayer client did get an update before launching the multiplayer client (will autoupdate not work with multiplayer client?)...

 

I hope you will be able to allocate enough resources very soon, to once and for all, solve these connection issues.

1 day later and that has been the only prob so far, Ive played for hours now on numerous servers with pings from 80 to 420 and player numbers up to 15 and had no trouble.

 

Things are looking good. :thumbup:

Ive been login in fine for about the last 3 hour , but now "DCS has stopped working ". ??????

Cheers all think I'll wait an try back again if FC3 comes out not ranting for me 95% of gameplay is online with other live players cannot connect to master maybe try again in a month or so.
