fjacobsen Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I have tried to figure out how to use the aiming reticles of the Abrams and the Multi rocket launcher. How do I use the range marks on the Abrams ? I see some measuring stuff on the upper part. Using the Multi rocket launcher, I measured the distance from my MRLS to my intended target. I found it to be 14 km and at 169°. I rotated the launcher to point at 169° and raised the launcher to the 14000 mark and then fired, but the rockets fell way short of the target, maybe only reaching 2/3 of the distance. fjacobsen Posted October 17, 2012 Author Posted October 17, 2012 Figured out the Artillery myself. But... Mission planner measures distances in feet F10 command map in Nautical miles Artillery unit in Km Hmm... Seems I must find out what unit the JTAC view uses. xxJohnxx Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Hi FinnJ, I think you can switch between Metrical and Imperial units somewhere in the options. If you set it metric, at least the mission editor and the F10 map are also in metric then.
