IADC Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 In reference to Druids reply to my Carbon Blade post I would add to this by saying yes it does take a considerable amount of time to build a mission and in most cases this can average around 30-40 hours if you want to get it right. In light of this you can see why you don’t have people queuing up to submit missions by the hundreds.. A mission builder can go through bouts of inspiration followed by darn right depression when things don’t go right and you struggle for hours on end with an issue that does not make sense. This usually results in much swearing fist shaking and pledges to never build another mission as long as one lives. After a few weeks though the mission builder like a dog forgets the mental pain he endured and dives back in full of gusto. As Druid said it is only polite to show courtesy if one does enjoy the mission to drop a note saying you enjoyed it or if you found something wrong with it then let the mission builder know so he can fix it before others fall foul of the same problem. In a previous post I had also asked if some of you none mission builders could provide some inspiration to the builders by providing a basic plan on a mission you would like to see built. This can come in the form of a PDF file like those that have been released as mission briefs by many of the mission builders out there. See my mission briefs for carbon blade and MSR vengeance that are attached to my other posts. So we ask you to sit back and have a think about a mission you would like to see and let us know. Cheers
