RiO Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Hey guys, In Falcon 4 BMS the pilot says "pitbull.." when the AIM120 becomes radar active, but how do I know here in FC3 since theres no indication? The HUD simbology is not as clear and direct as in Falcon 4, does anyone has any tutorials about it? Thanks

EtherealN Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Exactly. M - Missile 3 - seconds to pitbull 17 - seconds to impact [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
EtherealN Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Ran the same situation again, new screen after pitbull, so: M - a missile is in flight 0 - time to pitbull is zero; that is, it is active 6 - time to impact is 6 seconds [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
RiO Posted November 27, 2012 Author Posted November 27, 2012 Ok, thank you! Another one....As in Falcon 4, once the AIM120 is pitbull it's safe to unlock the target and extend from the enemy?
EtherealN Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 (edited) Ok, thank you! Another one....As in Falcon 4, once the AIM120 is pitbull it's safe to unlock the target and extend from the enemy? Yes. (And as a side note: the shots I made to get those screens were STT shots, but generally I prefer TWS even if I am only deploying one weapon. Symbology is otherwise the same - but if you have multiple weapons underway you only get indication on one.)
