-Ice Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Just coming back to DCS A10C after nearly a year away. Current setup is tri-screen display plus 4th screen as touch screen for instruments. I decided to try out Loz's 2.1 profile but noticed that there is about a 2-sec delay from my "button press" to DCS actually recognizing it. Noticed this with the OSBs, CDU buttons, UFC, even the landing gear lever, so I'll assume the delay is with all controls in the profile. Any ideas what could be going on? Pressing the relevant button on the pit has no delay at all. Will try to make my own profile to see if there is a delay too. - Ice
-Ice Posted December 17, 2012 Author Posted December 17, 2012 Quick test with just one MFD and there is no delay with regards to inputs. I've created a full profile for BMS so lots of switches on that profile too, but don't have the delay, so I doubt the "control count" is a factor. Maybe that "check state of DCS switches" is the culprit? - Ice
Fimble Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I would also ensure that you're leaving Window's Aero display ENABLED. Disabling it can cause the very problem you're describing with respect to Helios. ____________ PC Specs Intel i5-4670k@ 4.5Ghz 16GB of Corsair what difference does it make RAM nVidia EVGA GTX 760 Couple SSD's and a couple mechanical drives 27" Acer LCD Monitor (1920 x 1080) 19" ELO Touchscreen (1280 x 1024) :joystick: Saitek X-52 :joystick: Saitek Rudder Pedals TrackIR 5 + TrackClip Pro Helios running custom profile for A10C based on Loz's profile.
TomDK Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 I have the same problem sometimes as you can see: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1630071&postcount=34 Maybe its due to all the USB devices on 2 USB-hubs. After loading an other profile with little differences the problem is solved, but quit after booting and starting all tools for the A-10 I have also a delay up to 20 seconds (!!). Many potis may also be a problem for Helios. maybe gadrock will read this thread. I use also LOZ version little modified. My old, sold, pit: http://bilder.einzelart.de/thumbnails.php?album=74&page=3
