Drastic55 Posted December 30, 2012 Author Posted December 30, 2012 Just a quick question? every time i go to install C++ it tells me i have a newer version installed but yet when i go into my regedit i see no Microsoft visual? could this be an issue? and if so how do i add C++ 2010. I just downloaded C++2012
ALDEGA Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 It shouldn't be a problem, it's already installed. You should be able to see it in "Programs and Features". It's not necessary to install the Visual C++ 2012 redistributable package because DCS uses 2010 at this moment.
Drastic55 Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 Just a quick update, the DCS team got back to me finally and here is the solution in case anyone else runs into a similar issue. The below quote is direct from the support team. "This problem may persist because protected application runs under debugger program. Please, make sure Windows system debugger is turned off: 1. Press "Start" next "Run:" and type MSCONFIG 2. In appeared window, choose BOOT.INI and press the ADVANCED OPTION button. 3. If /DEBUG option is checked, set off mark and restart your computer." Fixed the issue right away! 1
