RagingBunny Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 (edited) Hello, I'm thinking about buying DCS A-10. To see if I would like it, I downloaded DCS Worlds today. But I've been having a problem I've never had before with any other game... From the first time I jumped into the cockpit, the game started to stutter a lot. I mean 2 tot 3 second freezes every 5 or 10 seconds. At first I thought my graphic settings were too high for my pc. After a lot of tweaking and trying, I have found out that the graphics were not the problem. It's the controls... If I do not touch any controls at all, the game runs just fine. When I roll my plane to the left or to the right, everything still runs fine. However, it's when I use pitch, either pulling up or down, with my joystick or with my keyboard, that the stuttering begins. As soon as I let go of my flightstick or keyboard, the stuttering stops and the game runs smooth again. I use a Thrustmaster Flightstick-X. I have tried downloading the latest drivers but that didnt help. Is this a known problem? Am I alone in this? I'd like to buy the game while it's on sale but if I can't solve this I'd rather not risk it. I hope someone has a possible solution I could try. Thanks in advance! EDIT: Last night it seemed like, magicly, the stuttering problems went away so I bought the A10 module. Ofcourse this was too good to be true, so the problem came back 5 minutes after installing the A10 module. What I have noticed is that not only does pulling up or down cause stuttering, so does panning around the cockpit and slewing the targetting pod. Just thought I'd mention this, hoping that maybe someone has a clue as to what the problem could be. Edited January 4, 2013 by RagingBunny additional info
