I understand purchasing a license but installing lock on just don't seams right to me. But if you don't think so thats up to you and I respect that. Acting as if one should only complain about "critical" things just avoids the issue of poor support in my opinion. Payment is automated, support is not; I think the reasons for this should be obvious. In any case, things are what they are. Back to real issue, I submitted my specs with support ticket but since you have been nice enough to address my problem I have Vista 64 operating system in excess of recommended system specs. Error is when I try to install FC3 it says it does not recognize my Lock On. I don't pretend to be computer expert by the way so fixing this is a problem. Thanks. Ok. Unfortunately I do not have vista so I cannot create a registry installer for you ... or perhaps I can - I will check later. I however can - if you give me the ticket number. :) If you give me said ticket number I can escalate your case, in case GGTharos is unable to create the registry installer. Rest assured your type of problem is considered urgent, but please do understand that russians take christmas as seriously as people in the west does - it's just that Orthodox christmas is in early January, not late December. Staff is however back now, so hopefully you should be able to get your ticket actioned ASAP, and if I get your ticket number I can escalate it. All I wanted was someone to be responsive to my issue. Also, I forgot about the Orthodox Christmas being later than Western Christmas so of course you were out. My ticket number is #18358. Thanks again for understanding my issue and not dismissing my complaint. I got way more agitated by the comments of your moderator than I was before I posted as I took his comments (maybe misunderstood) to be that my issue is what it is and will be fixed when we effing feel like it. Thats not the best business model by the way although it is a bit funny. You did not approach the issue that way so all my complaints are forgotten. If I can provide any more info just let me know. Hope both moderators have good evening.
Deekon13 Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Issue still unresolved. Support contacted me on Jan 9 and requested my version of FC3. Thanks for that. However, no response or remedy to this point. I do not know the complexity of my issue so I am not sure if the fix is complicated but wanted to note that no resolution has been reached. Original ticket filed 12/27.
atrdriver Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I did it... I think. Went into regedit and followed C0ff's instructions very carefully. However, because I rolled back the DCSW install and cannot get it to update, I will need to uninstall DCSW and reinstall yet again in order to get the most updated version that will accept FC3. Here goes. EDIT: Yes! First time I've messed with regedit and lived to tell the tale. Now all I have to do is install the F-15 training missions and set up a CH profile for the eagle. Thanks for your help, guys and I hope this thread will be useful for others who have this problem, i.e. a LOMAC install that does not create registry entries, thereby preventing FC3 from installing.
