Yeah, whatever is on the site. If you open the Profile Editor, it will tell you what Software version and what driver version for the Stick you have. Mine is SST v7.0.2.7, Stick v6.0.4.1.

Remember I have a x52, not a Pro. The only difference is the MFD, and material used for the actual stick.

Do you have the pedals too? If so, you need to right click the Stick Icon for the Stick, and the Pedal Icon for the Pedals.

pretty nice profile sven

i changed a few things for my needs. like i added snap views to the throttle rotaries. so middle is no view then right or left gives me a snap view. pretty cool.

i changed the scroll button to pause tracIR

added wheel brakes to the throttle

changed the night vision goggles to a toggle switch so i can set pinkie mouse fire to the right click mouse button. the only thing i think that sucks is i still have to use the mouse when i need to scroll on buttons in the cockpit.

out of curiosity, why did you leave POV hat 1 blank?

Thanks! ;)

That will affect your DMS and MIC( w/ Pinky ), did you find a substitute?

i changed the scroll button to pause tracIR

I have the TrackIR Center set to the "Clutch" button( the one with the 'i' inside rotary 2 on the throttle ), and TrackIR Pause set to 'Pinky + Clutch'. YOu have to open the x52 Control Panel, and un-check the "Enable Clutch Mode" on the MFD tab for it to work.

I use the scroll as a normal Zoom In/Out, and with the Pinky switch as the Boat Forward/Aft. I use the scroll button( push the scroll wheel in - actually mouse right click as normal ) as the Boat center.

added wheel brakes to the throttle

You could just assign the Trigger to be Brakes in Mode 3( MISC ), since you will not usually be shooting anything while taxi/take off/landing.

the only thing i think that sucks is i still have to use the mouse when i need to scroll on buttons in the cockpit.

The Throttle has a scroll/right click by default.

out of curiosity, why did you leave POV hat 1 blank?

I left POV1 as the means of looking( pan view ) around the cockpit. When I first created this profile, I did not have a TrackIR; just got one for X-mas a couple weeks ago. However, I left it, as sometimes when I pause my TrackIR, I use it to fine tune my view.

My basic premise, or logic, for this profile was that I immediately noticed some Buttons/Hats were going to be used quite regularly. So like a RWR, I prioritized them by most important/used. I also tried to base this off my FSX settings, as the x52 works great right out of the box. That way I didn't have to get confused about what I was doing - tried to make it more second nature-ish.

So, looking around was number one, and since FSX has the POV 1 as that function, I left it there. Coolie and DMS were a close 2nd/3rd, and since you use those two closely together a lot, I separated them( the whole L/R side of the brain thing ). TMS is used less frequently, so I made it readily accessible, and placed it on POV 2.

The basic break down is system/target management is right hand( stick ), while sub-system is left hand( throttle ).

i thought it was set up for left click?

by scroll, do you mean move the cursor?

and what i meant by having to use the mouse, some buttons in the cockpit use the mouse scroll wheel. and i dont see that mapped in the profile, so i have to go to the mouse. or am i missing something?

oh and i set up the head tracker pause button with the zoom in/out wheel so i could zoom in, pause it, zoom out, un-pause. pretty quick and easy that way

Left click is the little button by the mini-stick. On the backside of the Throttle, there is a scroll wheel, like on your mouse. The scroll wheel also pushes in, and is, by default, the right click function of the mouse on the x52/52 Pro.

No, that is the mini-stick. Scroll wheel, like on your mouse.

I set the profile up to be truly HOTAS. However, in real life, and due to the limits of the software, you still need to manual perform some functions in the cockpit. By this method, I only mapped the most important features to the Controller, in 3 different modes, so during battle you have your Hands On Throttle And Stick.

huh, ok. got ya. ya the throttle scroll wheel is set for view-reset. or was originally when i downloaded your profile.

thanks sven.

That's right, no pinkie + scroll button is view reset. I don't even remember my own programming! :book:

No worries, let me know if you need anything else...

hahaha, i just noticed the little dude reading.

hey man, one more question. with my snap views, its a constant press........so when i hit the pinkie switch to hit other commands while holding a snap view........the pinkie switch takes it out of view.

how can i rig this up in the programming so the pinkie switch wont take it out of view?

nevermind. figured it out

Use Pan View instead. When you look to the left and down, then it stays there. Use the Reset View to return to forward looking.

if i hold down the pinkie button in the programming it brings up a whole new list. i just mapped the same commands in the non pinkie into the pinkie section. all good

hey, sven. sorry to keep bugging you. i started a thread about this but no one seems to want to respond.

in your profile, there is a lighting HUD color toggle (T3 misc+pinkie)

for me, it does nothing. i found that, in game, under options-controls.....the keyboard isnt mapped to the HUD color change. for some reason it wont let me map a key command to it. do you have this same problem?

the key that is supposed to be mapped is RCtrl+H

Yep. This profile was made during A-10 v1.0.5.0. I don't even remember if it worked then, but I know that the functionality is not there now. I think that the real A-10 does not has this either.

You could, however, map it to DAY/NIGHT from the AHCP.

roger that. it seems some of the easier reached switches in the cockpit cant be mapped to the keyboard. wasnt sure if that was on purpose or if my game is bugged again.

cool to know i can remap some of this profile since they dont work. i'm going to have to write up a new cheat sheet for your setup. i got controls scattered everywhere, but the majority is still mapped to your profile.

thanks once again

You can just print the layout on to paper.

Or for a digital copy( PDF ): Try this PDF995. It is a FREE print to PDF piece of software( very small ). After install, set it as the Default Printer, and the print the profile from the Profile Editor.
