Zeke Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Been reading a lot about the Warthog and my cougar throttle has been acting up. Trying to get the replacement parts for it may not be easy, it's been a pain so far. However I love my modded Cougar stick and don't want to give up using it, no way. I've checked out the Warthog sticks at my local electronics store and although it's nice, it's not as nice as the modded Cougar. Since the Warthog Throttle hooks up with a separate USB, can you use a Cougar stick and a Warthog Throttle? Any suggestions/help/info would be appreciated, thanks.
Cezar11 Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 absolutely... you won't get the "out of the box" functionality.. you'll have to manually remap everything.. I have a cougar and warthog hooked up right now ( I use the thrustmaster pedals.. they are hooked into the cougar ) but you can use any combination of stick and throttle you like.... windows sees all 4 of them.. 1 Home built i5 quadcore. dual ATI 4850 in xfire mode. 16GB ram Warthog HOTAS, Thrustmaster Rudder, TrackIR 5, TM MFD's, windows 7 64 ultimate.. 40" primary screen, 19" secondary [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Zeke Posted January 17, 2013 Author Posted January 17, 2013 Very nice to hear. The one thing about the Warthog that really makes me want to buy one is the throttle.
Nerull Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 You'll only have to remp the stick functionalities, logically, since the stick and throttle are separate USB units. The WH throttle is awesome. Playing the game with the WH and the Cougar MFCD has shown me the engineers of the A-10C put a lot of thought in the ergonomy of the cockpit.
