Nerdsquared is doing a review of DCS and tries to start the aircraft without reading the manual. This is comedy gold... WELL worth viewing. My wife rushed into my office and asked if I was crying.. I was laughing so hard I couldn't breath.

It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm

Jesus... half an hour of watching someone clicking in a virtual cockpit. Yeah, pure hilarity.

I also get a kick out out of tooth decay and knee surgery.

Youtube DEFINITELY needs MOAR 30 minute videos just like this.

You're right.. this was a previous post. Go figure that none of the keywords for my search were available in said thread. If you can get monty python, you can get this guy. If you have no sense of humor and don't enjoy seeing someone go through the pain of not RTFM, this is a waste of your time... otherwise watch this it's super funny. If you're actually angered and offended by this vid.. there are other issues that must be addressed by a professional. I wish you the best :)

There used to be (or maybe there still is) another one where 2 reviewers review DCS-A-10C (stand alone version). Couldn't find it anymore though. Resembles +/- the same as this video. Their complimentary comments are funny. Nice to watch.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

Yup, that's the one. Searched for it quite a while on the tube yesterday, couldn't find it.

Personally, i find this a lot better then the Nerd3 one.

Nerd3 has played a few other flight sims with some limited success (read: he actually managed to get airborne... temporarily); if you liked his A-10C video, you'd probably also like these:

No, but I've had many customers refer to this video literally believing it takes 30 minutes before you can even take off. I explain to them it's a parody and you can be taxing to runway in 4 minutes assuming you follow proper start-up procedures. Hell, you can even be up in the air faster from a cold start assuming you bypass NAV/EGI align/skip ATC and such. I've tinkered with making missions where you had to emergency scramble to get out of the airfield before it was bombed/attacked under a 2 min window for the hell of it. Kind of fun, try it some time! Start taxiing right away when engine 1 is up, and start spooling 2 while taxing to runway, yes you won't have NAV aligned/EAC, but it's still quite possible to 'get the hell outta dodge'. (Don't do this in multiplayer though LOL.) Anyone else tried this? What's the fastest you've gotten in the air from a cold start/manual clicks/still taxi fast to runway/takeoff (no Winhome+home hotkey)? Ode to nostalgia of stealing AirWolf or FireFox lol...purely 'what if' extremely unlikely scenarios, but still a fun test of your skills for the hell of it, I'd recommend it sometime!

But back to the topic, there are a lot of people who take this quite literally, and they say it's 'to much work', or 'my buddy got it off steam and we spent 45 minutes before we got the a10 started, this game is bullshit!' type mentality, and that does frustrate me when I hear those ignorant claims. Good, separates the wheat from the chaff.

But yes, the video was funny! :)

PS: ED~ If I win the lottery, can I pay you to make a 6DOF click-able AirWolf DCS style model? Would be silly childhood dream come true. LOL!

PSS: Sloppy cold ramp start 2 min takeoff with 8 Guinesses. :D
