FC 3 installation problem

I just downloaded DCS World and FC 3, and have LOMAC installed and the original CD. DCS World runs, as does LOMAC, but when I try to install FC 3 I get a message that says LOMAC needs to be installed and registered.

 

One of the reasons that I decided to give FC 3 a try was because I still had the original LOMAC CD, and thought that was all I would need. I still have horrible memories of the cumbersome installation, activation, and patching required of the "mid-era" DCS modules, and hoped that FC 3 would be simpler.

 

Any help would be great. Thanks.

No suggestions? Not even from the moderators? I also submitted a support ticket (19563) and no response to that either.

 

From the lack of activity on these forums, and the evident lack of support, it appears I may have wasted my money on FC 3 at this point.

Not sure what to suggest other than ensure you are running the latest version, DCS World_en_1.2.3.9871 and FC3_en_1.2.3.9871_134?

 

You can check your version of DCSW by looking at the bottom right hand corner of the main menu, it should say "Version: 1.2.3.9871"

Still no response to my support ticket, more than three weeks now.

 

Interesting that I had no problem buying FC 3, however not a bit of support so that I can use it. I have been using various PC sims since Falcon 4.0, and at various times have needed support with patching issues, installation, activation, etc. but I have never experienced anything like the thunderous silence here!

 

I loved LOMAC, enjoyed the SU-25T in FC, flew the A-10C, went full simulation with the KA-50, and now feel abandoned and am pissed at the whole thing.

Hello Guil, sorry for the delay you have experienced.

 

Axion's question is one support may likely ask, actually, the response would be valuable.

 

I've asked for the ticket to be looked at, however it is likely that they will want to know which version of the FC3 installer you have (since this issue existed in an old installer, but should be fixed in the current installers). Knowing specific version of LOMAC might help as well - afaik they should all be identical aside from the Ubisoft download version, but more information is always good.

I finally got a response to my support ticket, and they also suggested trying again with the latest versions of DCS and FC 3. I had tried that once between my original download and now with no luck, however this time I uninstalled DCS and downloaded and installed the current version. Just back here after ripping around in the F-15C! I suspect it will be like I remember LOMAC, only better.
