The Tome is a factional (fact/fiction blend) story about man’s quest for power and the consequences that follow.

 

After serving four years in the American Civil War, Union Captain Jericho Tanner returns home to his wife, Sophia, and finds it difficult adjusting to civilian life. Meanwhile, a violent and bloodthirsty Confederate Captain, Percival Arcineaux, has joined forces with the silver-tongued Reverend Montgomery Burnside to reclaim victory for the South with the use of a mysterious book which, among other things, has the power to raise the dead. Thrust back into battle, Jericho is faced with some difficult decisions, from having to choose between the love of his wife and the love of his country, and the fate of the ancient knowledge that has been discovered.
