X-52 Pro and Pro Flight Rudder Pedals Set-Up

Hi everyone. I just picked up A-10C and Ka-50 to finally get to use my flight stick and pedals on. I was just wondering if it is better to use the Saitek SST software or to set everything up using the in-game control bindings? Is neither one the perfect method and if so should I use both in combination? Also, any advice as to a popular layout would be greatly appreciated.

Of course, you can use buttons via game's options. But, if you want to use rotary functions, you have to use SST Software. DCS doesn't see them normally.
