KillerSam Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Hi all, I have A-10c (originally purchased through steam), P-51 and FC3 all working fine in DCS World. Yesterday I purchased the Black Shark 2 upgrade which I assumed would upgrade my old steam copy of DCS Black Shark in order for it to work in DCS World? When I enter the key that I was given for Black Shark 2 it tells me that the key is not valid. There is no key for this game in my steam library either (the old Black Shark). Can anybody help? I have tried flushing the activations out of my registry also, and I still have the same issue. Thanks!

KillerSam Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 Did you follow this procedure: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1661223&postcount=2 ? Thanks for your reply. No I had DCS World installed (with other modules) before Black Shark (steam) was installed. Do I really need to uninstall everything to activate this module?
EtherealN Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 No, you don't need to uninstall everything. My guess is that you installed the wrong BS2 module. BS2 Upgrade keys only work with upgrade installer. This is the file you need: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/modules/dcs_black_shark_2_upgrade_english/? Note the exact file name: KA-50bs1_en_1.2.3.10201_147.exe The standard, non-upgrade, installer is named: KA-50_en_1.2.3.10201_147.exe Note no "bs1" immediately after the "KA-50". If the installer you used is the latter, and the license you purchased is the upgrade, then that is the problem. In this case you can uninstall the Ka-50 module specifically ( http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=100639 ) and then download and install the Upgrade module. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
