Kameni Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 (edited) OK, here's a screenshot of loading the plane after it's selected in-game. As you see, the question is marked red. The red arrow, however, indicates that the same thing usually happens there as well. Now, is it possible that when sim loads cockpit (for example) it loads bunch of "underlayered" graphics that are not needed and are just junk left from development? If so, removing them is - optimisation. EDIT: By the way, it remarkably looks like underlaying layer in files used for creating skins. So maybe it's a forgotten left-over from making the cocpit skin? May look "unimportant" to someone, but loading those needs more resources in a critical moment of game, and the files itself are larger if layered and having large number of layers. It looks like bumpmaps, but IDK what is going on - need some clarification is the marked thing left-over junk from development or what? Edited March 31, 2013 by Kameni
