Anyone else notice a wonderful improvement of flight model stability and naturalness

when the gear is down? I get so much more wibble wobble and instability when the gear is up when in flight director mode and using my GlovePIE automatic trim update script. I notice it performs more appropriately in manually cordinated turns, in hovers, near the gound, etc, with the gear down. Perhaps it doesn't accelerate quite as quickly, but it even seems to also have a nicer tranlational lift effect. I can't tell if it's just my imagination or what. I know I'm a lot more absorbed, focused, and engaged when I've got the shadowing turned up lately in 3D stereo (a brain thing, I guess), but the gear thing seems to be doing something, too. Am I nuts?
