theChris Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 (edited) Hello, i am a student so i am still learning everyday. I would like to learn more about rocket science. I decided to post here instead of doing my own research to help inform others, i also am lazy and like information to come to me :). One thing i would like to know is how the maximum g of a missile can effect its chance of hitting a head on target. Assuming a high energy aim-120b or c is heading towards a drone, (based on a mig-29 or other nimble aircraft) what is the chance of the aim-120 (with 40g max turn in fc3?) hitting the nimble drone doing barrel rolls (seems to be best method for me so far). edit: i read somewhere (from some guys forum post) that in order for a missile to hit a target turning, it needs 5 times the g capability for a hit.
