HUD Heading Carrot Disappearing

Getting better at this, what a learning curve....but I love it. I don't understand why I have a full HUD display when starting out, but somewhere along the line most of the information disappears including the heading carrot and scale. What happened?

 

Also having a hard time finding targets even using my wingman. Convoy Hunt is driving me crazy.

Do you have weapons active and targeted? That reconfigures the HUD, if you want to go back to navigation mode you have to cancel targetting, there's a button / command for that.

Luzifer is right, when you uncage your Shkval or select your Gun (C Key) the hud displays information regarding the weapon systems and not navigation.

Pressing the Targeting Mode Reset button will display navigation info again on the HUD, but also check that your guns are not selected (C key again).
