xcom Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Xcom- what frame killer are you speaking of specifically? I mean... there are some definite areas for improvement no doubt but anything that isn't already common knowledge and generally avoided (CBU-87 / 103 for example)... And the crashing... we haven't had THAT MANY crashes lately- perhaps there's an old trick that might still work that may help you get by until release. Biggest one I can think of now is making sure you update each mission after EVERY patch is applied... save it under a new name or version number. Is your server stand-alone or is there a host on it playing? Do you force scenes and civ traffic? Do you render 3D on the server? Edit: A couple other things that helped us through some dark times with 7570 that I still use: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1618030&postcount=82 Disregard the one about SLMOD- at that time we were trying everything but as Speed will tell you that wasn't the problem. I'm talking about a few FPS killers - 1. P-51D tracers. 2. Ground dust by low flybys or low level hovering. 3. MP issue with many objects at one area, FPS drops to around 15, newest cards get around 10-20 FPS drop. 4. UH-1H minigun tracers & ground hit smoke. I agree that I can avoid CBUs at the moment, and I am, but the issues I specified above here are not something I can control. About the crashing, I'm not sure exactly what are the issues that produce the crashes because it isn't possible to get any info from the crash log or from any other log, if ED can supply a good debugging way, I'd gladly do some debugging and help out with figuring out what is the issues that make most of my missions crash after 1.2.5 patch. Server details - - Dedicated server (no host playing). I7 2600K, 16GB RAM, GTX 560TI. - No 3d render. - No export objects (reduces latency usage and HDD I/O therefore is a performance recommandation). - No SLMod (Altough I really like Speeds SLMod, I had big performance hit with large number of players and many objects - after removing SLMod mission seemed to stable). - Missions are updated (manualy going into the mission and saving it before running). - Not forcing - Scenes/Civ Traffic. - Not using artillery units as it is know to cause crashes. - Short mission times, made sure that each mission has a trigger that will reload next mission after 3 hours - We've noticed that if we let the mission run for long periods of time units/objects tend to start warping. These are the guidelines I try to keep while building/running missions. Any new guidelines are welcome but I really hope we get some fixes to these issues. Devrim Posted September 26, 2013 Author Posted September 26, 2013 (edited) Hi... I'm ashamed and admit that it was my bad. Let me explain; One day I wanted to see that if I set my all options to the most lowest state, how much FPS I could gain. By doing that I set Preload Radius to "0" (I don't know why!). While playing multiplayer mission, Preload was at "0". So, I'm sorry for that and create a thread. But last night with max settings (including Preload) I can't say MP performance was awesome. I had three crashes for no reason in v1.2.6, and my friend's DCS crashed during landing. In last mission (ELS server just a A-10C free-flight), I couldn't get any response from ATC. It's very interesting that I request azimuth. My friend hears my pilot. I know that because I can hear my pilot's voice from my friend via TeamSpeak. And, ATC responds actually (giving heading et.). But I can't hear it, my friend can. I hear ATC via my friend's teamspeak channel. :D Then I controlled my radio settings. My friend knows A-10C better than me. We checked eevvveeerrryyytthhhiinnnggg! No luck, ATC doesn't speak to me. :) Then I came back to the airport. I decided to dive directly into the tower (to talk to chief what's going on!!!)! I headed to the tower building. My speed was 200 KTS and too close to the building. DCS crashed where I was 10 meters to tower!!! Like a horror movie! But, In spite of the crash, it was very very funny actually. :D Edited September 26, 2013 by Devrim Intel i7-14700@5.6GHz | MSI RTX4080 SuperSuprimX | Corsair V. 64GB@6400MHz. | Samsung 1TB 990 PRO SSD (Win10Homex64) Samsung G5 32" + Samsung 18" + 2x8"TFT Displays | TM Warthog Stick w/AVA Base | VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle | TM MFD Cougars | Logitech G13, G230, G510, PZ55 & Farming Sim Panel | TIR5 & M.Quest3 VR >>MY MODS<< | Discord: Devrim#1068
