Ledanek Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 after I receive a replacement CD-ROM for FC 1.1, I installed that CD, and at the end it told me to manually remove LOMAC. Is that on the Control Panel/ Add-Remove Programs, or in the Start/ Programs/Ubisoft/Eagle Dynamics/Lock On/Uninstall? Any other patches I should download before playing? I have an old Logitech Wingman 3D FF joystick, can anyone share their Wingman Profile so I can go up and running? Never took flight sim this serious :horseback Love the smiley in here thanks in advance
Shaman Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 What the FC installer tells you at the end of FC installation process is actually that you can delete legacy Lock On: Modern Air Combat (1.0) shortcuts in the start menu and on the desktop by yourself, because it doesn't do that automatically. FC installer does create its own shortcuts in these two places, though. Edit: Do not uninstall original LOCKON installation because of that. 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer
Ledanek Posted January 14, 2006 Author Posted January 14, 2006 I'm glad I didn't uninstall then. Whew! I'm downloading the 1.11 patch now and the StarForce uninstaller. Should I leave the StarForce alone for now and see if the game actually plays first? thanks
Shaman Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 You have to have StarForce driver on your system to play LockON. If you use starforce uninstaller be aware that the same moment you run lockon.exe again SF driver will be installed back into your system. The utility that you might use is StarForce Updater, this updates SF driver to latest version. It can be found here: http://www.star-force.com/support/sfdrvup.zip 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer
