My helios setup is not working in MP when I try to join another server. If I host it works fine. Can anyone point me to a fix?

After many hours of browsing the forums I find the problem may be with Integrity checks by the hosting server and that server seeing helios as a form of cheat. Another post mentions something about changing the code in network.cfg file but this file no longer exists in DCS world.

 

Still hoping for some assistance here.

Originally, Export.lua integrity check was made due to heavy cheating on MP sessions using TacView (it would export live data during a game and would allow others to see the entire battle map in ways that not possible otherwise).

 

You cannot play with Helios or any other application that modifies Export.lua in any way on servers that has these checks.

Thanks for the reply. You say on servers that use integrity checks??? As we all connect through the DCS server that would mean there is no fix for this as there is only the one server we all host through. Or does each person who sets up a server/host for mission have a choice to implement integrity checks somehow?

No DCS hosts the match making pieces not the server themselves. You need to ask the server operator if they'll remove those checks.

 

I wish they separated the export into two paths. One which would only give you access to data available in cockpit already and a second to do tacview type global data exports.
