Finally got HOTAS Warthog and CH pro pedals!

I just happened to be looking on kajiji (like acraig's list) last night if anyone was selling them, and saw an add for the warthog and ch pedals 300$ for all.

 

Skeptical, Isent him an email and got a answer this morning (MBA student who did'n't have time to use it so decided to sell it to somone who needs it).

 

Drove 1.5 hours to test it out (he had ARMA3 on for me to fly in). and brought it home spending the night binding the keys to my preference.

 

 

I am completely blown away by it!!!!! This is a game changer to the same magnitude of when I purchased my TrackIR 5 2 years ago.

 

This is by far the most important piece of hardware for any flight sim fan out there!!! I would be hard pressed to even take track ir over this (but its damn close)

 

And since it was made specifically for this game, it runs flawlessly!! I can trim the plane easily in seconds, acquire target and dispose of them using any weaponwithout ever touching the keyboard.

 

No dead zones on any axis, it is responsive when needed but also EXTREMELY stable when you only need to finely adjust your path.

 

 

I also use Icontrol DCS, but I hardly even touched the screen, other than for some dms profiles.

 

The only problem is taking off with the new pedals since I always ever used Logitech 3d twist joystick, so it's really though breaking out of the habit and using the pedals effectively, but I will get there.

 

 

I also tested it out on wwiionline, and combined with real rudders, I will say it was extremely responsive.

 

 

I have been looking at this setup for almost 2 years and I still can't believe what I experienced. If anyone is even remotely considering this, don't hesitate, buy it!

 

Next I can't wait to try it out on fsx (have to reinstall on my hybrid drive first, so that will take a full day), but I can already tell what I can expect.
